Reiki is a Japanese word meaning the universal life energy that is in and around all living things. A reiki practitioner acts as a channel for this energy, which stimulates and enhances the bodies own healing mechanisms.
Reiki is deeply relaxing, promotes well being, and helps to balance the body and reduce pain and discomfort. Many people also experience a shift in perspective which allows them to deal more easily with life's difficulties.
Reiki will work through layers of clothing, or even a plaster cast. You will lie or sit during a session. Before the treatment begins I will answer any questions you may have about the treatment.
When given by a properly qualified practitioner reiki is always safe. It can be used to compliment and enhance any other treatment whether orthodox or alternative.
